We can only accept pets for boarding if they are in good health and you produce a vaccination card confirming your pet’s inoculations are up to date. All pets must have been vaccinated more than 2 weeks before their stay. Dogs must have been vaccinated against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parvo virus. Cats must have been inoculated against feline enteritis and cat flu.
If any animal falls ill during its stay we reserve the right to call the vet and all cost will be borne by you. Any current or ongoing problems with a pet’s health or temperament must be notified to us at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse any pet that we consider to be of unreliable temperament or sick at the start of boarding. All pets should have been wormed recently.
Owners are liable for any damage inflicted on staff or property by their pet.
If any animal is found to have fleas the owner will be responsible for the costs of treating the animal and surrounding environment.
It is emphasised that while every care and attention is given to each pet boarded with us it is boarded entirely at the owner’s risk, as are pets sharing accommodation. Should we feel the need to separate them in the interest of the animals own safety a relevant charge for the extra accommodation will be levied.

We reserve the right to dispose of animals not collected with 14 days of the stated departure date if there is no communication from the owners or guardian and efforts to contact the owners fail.

Westmead will try to work with any dog in day care. Social play will be offered to those dogs who are considered appropriate by kennel staff after assessment. However, day care is subject to the following conditions:
Daycare does not include feeding.
Late pick ups will be charged at £15.00 per quarter hour
Any dog left at the kennels after 6:30 will be put into an overnight kennel and the owner charged a fee of £30.00. The dogs cannot be picked up after this time.
Dogs will be put into a kennel on arrival and will be taken to the play area for two outside play times per day.
Only neutered dogs are allowed in day care after 10 months old.
Bitches in season will not be allowed to be in social play
All dogs must have an up to date vaccinations and a copy will be kept of the vaccination certificate.
All dogs must have been wormed and deflead
Any behavioural issues must be disclosed to staff. If a dog cannot socialise with other dogs you must make the kennel staff aware.
No responsibility will be taken for injuries to pets in daycare if full disclosure of the temperament of the dog is not disclosed.
Dogs are put in day care at the owners risk, Westmead takes no responsibility for dogs who dogs who may be injured during the normal course of play.
Any dogs showing signs of aggression will not be allowed in the social dog play. However we may be able to take them and work with them to get them socialised.
Use of our field Terms and Conditions
Please do not crowd the gate or field boundary while you are waiting your turn to use the field.
Please do not approach any dog without prior consent of the owner – and especially don’t approach a dog with your own dog
Please remember that many of the dogs who use our fields are nervous/reactive and they require space – both from other dogs and from people – in order to enjoy their freedom
All dogs MUST be kept on a lead until safely secured in the field or safely secured in your car. Dogs must NEVER be allowed to run free in either the compound of the kennels, in the road outside the kennels.
All play dates held in the field are completely at the organisers and participants own risk.
Please note: We DO NOT permit use of any adverse training method or equipment at any time. Such methods and equipment include (but are not limited to) shock collars and prong/pinch collars and use of physical violence. Do please speak to us, as I’m sure that we can provide much kinder and much more effective alternative methods and equipment.
Please always be aware of the time and be ready to leave the field at the end of your field hire time slot.
Please do not leave toys – especially broken toys – on the field
Please ensure that you allocate time in your slot to check that you haven’t missed any ‘Poo’ left by your dog on the field. All poo must be picked up. Bags can be deposited in the bins on the kennel compound.
All dogs and people who enter the field, do so at their own risk.
All dogs should be supervised by their owner/handler at all times.
Children under the age of 16 should have adult supervision at all times.
Dogs and children should never be left unattended on the field.
All cancellations or less than 24 hours & ‘no shows’ may be charged the full booked price.
If we deem it appropriate to cancel your booking, for example due to extreme weather conditions, we will offer an alternative date and time.
You, as owner, are completely responsible for your dog(s) at all times.
We politely request that if you see a dog poo left on the field, that you dispose of this in order to keep the field as clean and hygienic as possible.
The entire Westmead site is a no smoking or vaping site.
You are required to adhere to your time slot at all times. If you arrive late for your slot, unfortunately, you will still need to vacate the field at your booked end time.
All field use is pre-booked only! If you turn up unannounced, you WILL be turned away
We require all dogs to be immunised at least 2 weeks before use of the fields and we will need to see proof of vaccinations. Dogs must also be up to date with worm treatments and flea and tick treatment.
If your dog has shown signs of Kennel Cough, Sickness or Diarrhoea in the past 72 hours, or shows signs of illness on arrival at the kennels, we request that you do not use our facilities. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog that appears to be unwell. Bitches on heat will not be allowed to use the facilities.
Please do not allow children to climb on our gates, walls or fencing.
If you see a breach in our fencing, or your dog/children causes a breach, you must report this to us immediately
Any damage to any of our fencing or equipment is payable by you.
Please DO NOT allow your dogs to chew, or run around with our agility equipment in their mouth
We will not be held responsible for any injury or illness contracted by any Dog or person who uses our fields.
Any use of our equipment is completely at your own risk and you are totally responsible for the welfare of your children and your dog(s) at all times.
Please make sure you secure gates when using the field and when leaving the field. If your dog escapes because you have not closed the gate we will not be held responsible. It is also your responsibility to check that the gates are all closed prior to letting your dog off lead.
Should your dog escape from the field, any damage caused to property or other animals is completely your responsibility and is payable by you. It is your responsibility gauge your dog’s ability to escape from the field and ensure that this does not happen.
Water bowls are left for your dog(s) at all times. If bowls require filling and you are unsure how or where to do so, please ask us rather than let your dog go without water
